HARIO means, in Japanese, "The king of glass". Formed in
1921, this Japanese company manufactures glassware of the highest quality
for consumer and industrial uses. Their products range from beverage
accessories such as coffee siphons and tea servers to television screen
and apparatus for medical research. With unmatched workmanship and exceptional
aesthetic design, "HARIO" come to symbolize "glass making
at its best" throughout Asia.
Healthy, safe glass materials
HARIO GLASS's heat-resistant glass products are made from main materials,
such as silica, borax and boric acid refined from 100% natural minerals.
HARIO is providing pure, clean products without any impurities, using
resources from the earth, for example, "salt" to eliminate
foams from glass.
Moreover, glass not finished into products is recycled again and again.
On the other hand, under the slogan "Stop the environmental hormones",
HARIO GLASS started in 1998 to develop new products centering on heat-resistant
glass with only safe materials. It is a wish of HARIO GLASS to hand
a story about preciousness of life for children to be born in the 21st
Century.
Effective use of clean energy
Products of HARIO GLASS are made of glass melted by about 1,600 degrees
centigrade of heat in the electric melting furnace.
It was 1972 when HARIO GLASS removed smokestacks from its plants, aiming
at symbiosis with the beautiful natural environment.
The success of development of Japan's first "direct-current-passage
glass-melting furnace" implemented the pollution-free plant, emitting
neither CO2 nor dioxins.
Introduction of electric energy, not accompanied by burning or flue
gas, has caused a great change in our thoughts to preserve limited natural
resources.
HARIO GLASS is carrying out production activities in the plant surrounded
by the green natural environment to provide a healthy, rich life to
not only the neighboring community but also all the people on the earth.
